Chocolate chilli cake

Here is the chocolate chilli cake I made for Cake Club. It's the first time I've made this cake and was a bit cautious with the amount of chilli I used. As a result, the chilli went largely undetected but I was pleased with the bake and the moist texture of the cake.

I'm not big on decorated cakes (I'm all about flavour and dislike icing...) so went for a simple design to fit the 'Trick or Treat' theme of the night.

It was a pleasure to meet several faces from The Great British Bake Off and hear about their experiences of the show.

Will try this cake again and once the recipe works I'll post it in the blog.
