New kitchen/bathroom and some furry lodgers

No posts for December last year as we spent 3 weeks having the kitchen and bathroom replaced. Total nightmare, but worth it as we now have a gorgeous new kitchen and bathroom.

Tips for those undergoing work on the house:

  • Hide the kettle from the lazy tiler
  • Make and freeze lots of microwave food beforehand
  • Spend as much time out the house as possible
  • Remember it WILL end at some point
  • Don't argue with the tiler

Once that was complete, two new additions to the family moved in.

Here are Connor and Frankie:

We rescued them from Cats Protection Birmingham. They'd spent 9 of their 10 years in a cat rescue centre, kept by some crazy mare who liked to look at them. After 9 years she got bored of them, and sent them to CP Birmingham. They then spent 7 months there, where nobody was interested because they were so timid. Finally, we found our boys and brought them home. Initially hiding behind and under anything and everything, they've settled in a treat and have become the friendliest, most gorgeous cats. We love them to bits and can't imagine being without them now. For anyone thinking of adopting an animal - DO IT!!
